Alfred Kahn, chief exec for 4Kids Entertainment, just dropped $8.9 mil for Bernie Madoff's old digs.

I really feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole.
4Kids is, really, months away from bankruptcy. Nothing Kahn is doing works, and he buys a $9 Mil place to live.
Either he expects a BIG payoff selling 4Kids to someone, or he's totally, utterly clueless, because in today's environment this sort of thing does not go unnoticed! His investors are going to freakin' explode.
When you're successful, sure, you can blow $9 Mil on a place to live, but when you do your quarterly reports and it's down down down down and no matter how much you say you expect it to be up next quarter, it's OBVIOUS it won't be...
altho I guess I can't disagree with the voices of some that they'd rather he waste money like this (because he's going to have to sell it next year, just you watch) instead of spending that cash on buying up (otherwise worthwhile) anime series and butchering them into unwatchable nonsense.
And here I thought there was big money in Pokemon and Yugioh...
What Steve said -- Kahn (and not Khan ; ) is a nutter.
If I had USD $9M I'd be buying land in Costa Rica next to GW, not mucking around in Trump's neck of the woods :P
