I really hate to break it to Giant Robot, but they need to give it up. The party's over. I stopped buying their rag years ago. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

I always felt odd reading GR in later years because it seemed more like fashion magazine than a Asian culture magazine. I'd have to read Popular Mechanics or Grassroot Motorsports to counteract the feeling. GR always seemed to go better in fanzine form. It just felt right.
GR needs financial donations? Welcome to every small business in America right now. Full disclosure -- I never bought an issue (something about tuition, rent, and beer being priorities)
