Moé Lum?
Moe LUM??? NO! You're ruining my childhood.
Well, okay, that's just my late teens. But is Lum moe?
The picture you used looks loli to me, but that's just the style. Lum as a character might be tsundere, tough on the outside and soft in the middle, but not moe.
I found that going through some japanese fanblogs and there's hundreds of moe characters dressed up in tiger skin bikinis. I was kind of surprised that there weren't more Lums, but maybe Lum is just too old school.
I think Lum was more tsundere in the movies/OAVs. I'm still partial to the Lum that made Ataru's life miserable.
It doesn't help this is the Year of the Tiger. A lot of the New Year cards I'm seeing from mangaka and doujin circles is whatever-anime-character in a tiger skin bikini. However, everytime I see a tiger skin bikini in anime/manga, I think of Lum. Even though U.Y. is old school, she owns it. Forever.
And Ataru deserved the misery Lum served up.

Moe Lum seems like the epitome of redundancy to me, but I'm a reductivist :P

Ataru is the reason YU isn't a harem show. He's a lech and a jerk and a loser. And despite that I like Ataru way better then the typical ineffectual moon eyed pencilnecks you find in a harem show.
And yeah: Tiger Skin Bikini=Lum
