Kyodo News - Photos, Jul. 8, 2005; AOMORI, Japan ...Inakadate in Aomori Prefecture bear Ukiyoe works by painters Sharaku (L) and Utamaro. Local rice farmers created the Ukiyoe works by growing different color rice plants. They can be seen until mid-August.

Why just look at the crop circles? Help make and harvest them the old-fashioned way! You missed slogging around in the muck for the hand planting of the rice seedings last June. However you have plenty of time to wield a wicked kami [鎌 ] hand sickle and help in singing the harvest songs like I do. Details at the bottom of this page.
