Gainax ought to be remaking this (or doing a new one) instead of wanking around with EVANGELION REBUILD.

Best parts: the cameo by the Paira alien at 3:40, and Jeff Lynne's tribute to Townshend at 4:50.

I don't think it's bad if you get nostalgic, but what do you get nostalgic for after watching this?

When I watch this it reminds me of all the reasons I did get into this mess.

I wasn't a huge fan of the original series, but are the Eva 2.0 movies even worth watching?

FWIW, I wasn't huge on the "Zeta Gundam: A New Translation" flicks, either. I just kept thinking about how crappy the Visual Kei/JPop of the current era is, and wondering why the new character animation was so wonky...
