Frank Frazetta, famed comic artist and illustrator, passed away Monday in Fort Myers, Florida of complications from a stroke. He was 82. His influence on pop culture was enormous, with a body of work that spanned multiple media.

Knew it was coming. Watched the documentary on him at least a year or more ago and his health was failing in that. Recommended viewing. Seeing him talk about his art is pretty interesting. Maybe not as inspiring as his art. But still worth the watch.

FF was a huge influence on the modern fantasy genre, and is without doubt one of the world's great fantasy illustrators.
