It's hard to parse this but:

I'd put as much blame on the general global economic trend as the failure of the online video-watching public to adopt new formats and services.
For instance, the global beer industry has taken a hit in sales that in previous times has market a serious recession -- why other specialty markets find it hard to put two and two together is beyond me.
From the analyst, “We don’t believe the 2009 experience was seasonal, or purely economy related…we consider the problem to be endemic.”
You need to add value to a product/experience, not DRM.
