I've had this stuff and if I had to do a beer review all that need be said is "High-fructose corn syrup". Wait, I could say the same thing for Bud or Miller. Never mind.
Bomb#20 (Needs to find winter version of this and review on Beer Advocate.)
I'm just floored by the whole marketing-beer-to-kids thing going on in these commercials. I'd almost dismiss them as hoaxes if I didn't know you could actually buy this stuff.
Super sweetened? I'm not surprised.

Only in Japan. Then again, I remember buying candy cigarettes when I was kid.
With a little help from Google:

I'd thought these would have been gone a long time ago.
Candy cigarettes, maybe. But until I see a commercial where you've got kids pretending to smoke 'em it's not quite the same thing.
I see nothing wrong with this...need to have the Japanese girls get the beer pouring thing down pat, by the time they are women. ;) And I love the "beer" moustaches.
Feh. Europe has been giving THEIR kids REAL booze with dinner for CENTURIES.
Candy beer? Wusses.
Kids drinking beer is no big deal. Prior to Prohibition, plenty of breweries sold weak beer brewed just for kids and old folks. Google "small beer".
BTW, we allow Hans a sip or two on the rare occasion. He likes beer.
Don't forget the "table beer" in Belgium! Generally less than 2% (sometimes pushing 4%) and served to kids with meals.
Japan just likes their gimmicks. These kids should be drinking Hoppy!
