I just stumbled upon the line up for the Japan Nite show at SXSW and the following tour. The SXSW show will be Friday, March 19th in Austin, TX and the tour will be from March 21st through the 27th. Here's the announcement on their My Space page.

Wish I would have seen them. Sounds like fun. Were they part of the whole Sweet Jap clan that seemed to form about that time?
JinnyOops! and Omodaka are the only two I'm interested in. There will be a fifth band TBA.

Sorta -- Sweet JAP were from the main islands, but they all traveled in the same circles in this tiny, tiny town : )

Saw Sweet JAP's CD last night at Cheapo, really kickin' myself for not buying it.
I really miss hanging out at Cheapo's and listening to all the hipsters. I'd blow a whole Saturday digging through the boxes and eavesdropping on the counter staff making fun of the music people brought in to sell.
