I was proud to be Dan's cousin, and I am so sad that distance prevented us from having much contact. I knew he was a gifted artist, but I had no idea how gifted. I wish I could have told him how much I admired his work and how proud I was to be his cousin. His reputation as an underground cartoonist was all news to me. May he rest in peace and be remembered for not only his work, but for who he was as a person. He is gone much too soon. Love you, Dano.
