Robocop and Blade Runner.
Yo, Hollywood! Buy a clue -- the ideas emanating from your immediate zipcode suck, and there's talent coming up in the world with fresh takes on alien/monster/robot invasion flicks, along with some of the best (and low-budget at that) execution.

Feh. Hollywood is spending like money's going outta style. The more money they lay out, the safe they play. That's why they're re-making this stuff. Because it's the best way to make sure they get their money back, no matter how fucking bad the remakes are. Look at Transformers. It's shit, but it makes bank.
All that said -and I hate sequels almost as much as remakes- I had a soft spot for Tron: Lethargy.
Granted I've only seen it twice, but it holds up to repeat viewing and is more than just an overly-glossy remake of the original as some reviewers found it to be.
Still, if they make it a Trilogy, heads will roll, boy, heads will roll!
I'm sorry to tell you this:
